Eurobond

aid & finance. Also Eurobonds

A bond a government or company sells to international investors in a currency other than its own, usually US dollars. Pakistan has issued Eurobonds since the 1990s, including a 30-year bond due 2051 issued in 2021. After a four-year gap it returned to the market in 2026 with a three-year issue under its Global Medium-Term Note programme, upsized from $500 million to $750 million. Its yields are a measure of investors’ view of Pakistan’s credit risk.12
