The Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List, published and frequently updated by the US Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control. It names individuals, companies, groups and vessels designated under US sanctions programmes, with aliases, addresses and identifiers. Their property under US jurisdiction is blocked and US persons generally may not deal with them; entities owned 50 per cent or more by listed persons are treated as blocked too.^1,2
