law & sanctions. Also SDGT, Executive Order 13224
A US sanctions designation under Executive Order 13224, signed on 23 September 2001 under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. The State and Treasury Departments use it to name people and groups that commit or support terrorism; their US assets are frozen and Americans may not deal with them. Designees appear on the Treasury’s SDN list tagged [SDGT]. Many Pakistan-based groups and individuals have been designated this way.12
