The China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a package of energy, transport and infrastructure projects linking western China with the Arabian Sea port of Gwadar in Balochistan. It is a flagship of China's Belt and Road Initiative and a central part of Pakistan's economic planning, and it features prominently in US discussions of China's role in South Asia.
