Azm-e-Istehkam
security. Also Operation Azm-e-Istehkam
A national counter-terrorism campaign approved on 22 June 2024 by the Central Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and endorsed by the federal cabinet days later. The government described it as a combined military, law-enforcement, legal and diplomatic effort based on intelligence-led operations rather than a large offensive to clear territory. Several opposition parties asked for it to be put before Parliament first.12
