Pakistan’s federal investment promotion agency, set up in 1992 as the Pakistan Investment Board and working under the Prime Minister’s Office. It promotes and facilitates local and foreign investment, serves as the secretariat for special economic zones and is a first point of contact for foreign investors. Since 2023 much high-level facilitation has also run through the Special Investment Facilitation Council.12
